Embracing Growth: The Journey Through EDLD 5302
As EDLD 5302 is coming to an end, I reflect on this experience which has helped me understand how to approach learning and growth. Through our assignments such as the Growth Mindset Plan, Learning Manifesto, and Contribution to Learning, I’ve developed the tools and strategies that will help me through this master’s program in the months to come. These assignments helped me reflect and embrace challenges while taking ownership of my learning process which set the foundation for my continued growth. In blogging my experiences, have helped me reflect on the challenges and accomplishments and how everything connected as the course progressed.
As I reflect, the growth mindset has shown me to embrace challenges and view setbacks as opportunities to grow and evolve, which is essential as I move through this degree. When it comes to failing forward strategies, it showed me that making mistakes and learning from them encouraged me to take risks without the fear of failure. The COVA model focused on Choice, Ownership, Voice, and Authenticity, which helped me take charge of my learning, create meaningful work, and apply my skills in the workplace. When I put all these strategies together, it creates a learning environment that is dynamic, reflective, and impactful. As I continue this program, I’m excited to use these tools to succeed in innovating technology in the workplace.
