Journey of a WIX designer.

Reflecting on the Checking Blog Assignment, my knowledge of the WIX platform has grown since the beginning of this course.  Watching YouTube tutorials as well as WIX’s Tutorial website provide vast amounts of information in how to customize your portfolio.  I’ve been trying to find different methods in designing and making my portfolio stand out.  I viewed one of my group members portfolios and she was able to embed a google document into a page within WIX.  The way I was doing it was embedding a direct link to a picture which would open a new webpage to google docs.  Doing this was not fluid when I was navigating my 5305 to access my innovation proposal, literature review, and implementation outline.  My team member was able to record a quick video and how to embed google docs to your page on WIX and it worked like a charm!  One of the benefits of being in a group was that everyone gave positive feedback and gave suggestions as to making changes that can make my portfolio stand out.  One feature I recently learned was to add the “Go Back” function.  This is essential for my audience to be able to go back to previous pages without having to click on the top menu.  Without the feedback from my group and the rest of my peers, my portfolio wouldn’t have shaped up the way I wanted to.
