Upon looking at my classmate’s portfolios, I’ve noticed that each portfolio has a story to tell and their reasons for wanting to innovate technology.  We all have a common goal in which we want to make a change not just for student success in the classroom but also in the workplace.  Looking at the way others have structured their portfolios has taught me new ways of presenting my information.  There are numerous ways in creating your portfolio when it comes to the layout that showcases a person’s identity in their work.  In looking at my peer’s portfolio’s, it has made me reflect and assess my own by taking ideas from other portfolios and making it better.

Receiving feedback has been encouraging and sometimes nerve-wreaking.  I am constantly judging my own work and wondering if it’s good enough for others.  Looking at other portfolios and the feedback I received as well as feedback given to others has been very positive.  When I saw that others made mistakes made me realize that we are all human and this type of constructive feedback is there to help us grow and learn to be able to do better (Taylor & Francis, 2024). In receiving this feedback, I began to look at my assignments and make the necessary changes and even got with my group to get their input when I made changes.

Deciding which platform to use was no easy task starting out.  Looking at the weekly reading suggested numerous platforms to use but not one stood out and we were left to decide for ourselves.  I began to research which platform was user friendly and learned that WIX had a ton of tutorial videos at their disposal.  I tried to use Canva but found it difficult to navigate and I needed something with more structure.  Beginning to learn to use a new platform set the bar for this degree and how I would showcase my journey.  From the beginning to now, my mindset has changed from being uncomfortable and begin learning from trial and error.
